Mecia Hacks 2.0 was established with the aim of offering a vibrant and dynamic platform for young hacking enthusiasts to showcase their skills and creativity. This 24-hour hackathon is a thrilling event where like-minded individuals gather to transform their innovative ideas into reality. Hosted at the prestigious Sardar Vallabhbhai Institute of Technology in Vasad, the event promises to be an action-packed experience filled with collaboration, problem-solving, and technological advancements.
Participants will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, receive guidance from experienced mentors, and network with peers who share their passion for technology and innovation. Whether you are a seasoned hacker or a newcomer eager to learn, Mecia Hacks 2.0 welcomes you to dive into this immersive experience.
This year's hackathon will focus on many project domains, providing participants with a variety of avenues to explore and innovate.
PROJECT CATEGORIES
1. Smart Rural Development
Participants can go for the following topics: IoT for agriculture, Rural healthcare solutions, Renewable energy in rural areas, Smart irrigation systems, E-governance for rural communities, Rural education platforms, Supply chain optimization for farmers, Rural connectivity and internet access, water conservation technologies and Affordable housing solutions for rural areas.
2. Environmental Sustainability
Participants can go for the following topics: Renewable energy solutions, Carbon footprint reduction, Climate change mitigation, Water conservation technologies, Sustainable agriculture, Waste management and recycling, Eco-friendly transportation, Green building design, Biodiversity protection and Environmental monitoring and data analytics.
3. Smart Robotics and Drones
Participants can go for the following topics: Autonomous drones, Smart sensors, UAV navigation, IoT-based robotics, Remote-controlled planes, Drone delivery systems, Robotics in agriculture, IoT home automation, UAV surveillance, Industrial automation.
4. EdTech Innovations
Participants can go for the following topics: Online learning platforms, Personalized learning, Virtual classrooms, Educational apps, Gamified learning, AI tutors, Student engagement tools, Learning management systems, Remote collaboration, Digital assessments.
5. Waste Management Innovations
Participants can go for the following topics: Waste-to-energy systems, Recycling technologies, composting solutions, Upcycling projects, Smart waste bins, Circular economy, E-waste management, Biodegradable materials, Waste sorting automation, Community recycling programs.
6. AgriFood Tech
Participants can go for the following topics: Precision agriculture, smart farming, Food safety monitoring, Farm-to-table solutions, Sustainable food systems, Food waste reduction, Vertical farming, Agricultural drones, Food traceability, Nutrient management systems.
7. FinTech Security
Participants can go for the following topics: Digital banking, mobile payments, secure financial transactions, anti-fraud systems, blockchain security, identity verification, data encryption, secure online lending, financial literacy, risk management.
8. Open Innovations
Participants are encouraged to explore open innovation by generating their own ideas in various areas, except above categories or domains, allowing for creativity and unique solutions to emerge that address different challenges and opportunities.

- Mecia Hacks 2.0 is open to college students of ANY department of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Technology, Vasad. We encourage aspiring developers, designers, and innovators to participate. This event is open to any students. It is beginner friendly, and mentors available to help you as you work on your project. Also an Ideathon (where each teams will come and pitch their ideas to the mentors for some helpful advices) will be arranged before hackathon.
- Nope, it is free for all.
- Yes! keeping overall fairness and productivity in mind, participants will be required to have teams of 3 or 4 people.
- If you're unable to form a team, don't worry! We'll assist you in finding teammates through our discord.
- All projects submitted at Mecia Hacks 2.0 must be developed entirely during the event. We maintain a strict policy against plagiarism and cheating.
- We're committed to providing a comfortable and productive environment for all participants. This includes pre-mentoring sessions, accommodation, ongoing-hackathon mentorship, delicious meals, an exciting swag kit for every participant & ofcourse lots of fun.
- Your laptop, charger, headphones and necessary personal items. Materials for hardware project are to be brought by the respective teams itself. Otherwise resting arrangements will be there.
